Not many things happened this month, but the things* that DID happen are big enough to make up for it!
(*Thing, singular.)
Not a lot happened this month, to be honest.
One of the few things that did happen was that I completed Pokémon Ultra Sun (which I re-stated last month) on the 11th.
On the 20th, the new Mario game, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, was released!
It's… a long game, that's for sure (World 1 has eleven levels, as opposed to the New Super Mario Bros. games, whose Worlds 1 typically have eight) but it's also a very good game as well!
I won't lie and say it challenged me (at least, not until the secret final level) but I still enjoyed playing regardless.

Bowser likes to get power-ups, I guess

The world map is varied, including free-roaming areas where you can choose the order in which you play levels! (I forgot levels on at least one occasion.)

Piranha Plants sing now, I guess
![]() |
Secret exits are back! (There's less than 10 in the game.)

Captain Toad gives you money! (money is good, I like money)

The level Bulrush Express was surprisingly difficult!

So were (most of) the levels in the Special World.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder spoilers
It did disappoint me, however, that Bowser Jr. is the only proper boss in the game aside from the final boss (which, predictably, is Bowser himself.)
As well as that, the final boss battle is very short too, though the level leading up to it (Bowser's Rage Stage) brilliantly syncs up the level's progression with the music.

I wound up completing the game to 100% in a matter of three days, which was actually a day faster than I was expecting!
Then, starting on the 25th, I decided to force myself to get up on time (that is to say, by 9:30 am.)
It hasn't been without its challenges - like today, for example - but my success rate is 57% (4 days out of 7) which is above half, so I'm still pleased, and plan to continue with this into next month, too!
On the 27th, Maia and I made a new town on Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City, which we have very fond memories of from childhood.
We named it Aréalia (from "azalea" and "réalta", the Irish-language word for "star") and have been playing the game in the days since!
That's about it from me for this month, so I'll be back in 30 days to tell tales of whatever will have happened to me next month!
Bye - and happy Weenohal!
