It's my birth month!
…or, it was, anyway.
My recounting of this month begins on the 3rd, where I - along with the help of other real-life people - successfully defeated (and captured) Mewtwo, a powerful Legendary Pokémon, in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, as part of a time-limited event!

| I did NOT think I would ever complete a 7-star raid battle, but here I am! |
The next few days were, of course, marked by the extremely hot temperatures -- to the point where the hottest day of the entire year wound up being in September.
September.
The month when autumn begins, and summer ends.

The next few days after that were rather uneventful (the most impactful thing happening in that time period being the addition of Scarlet & Violet Pokémon to Pokémon Go) so I'll just skip ahead to the 13th, which was - of course - my birthday!
The Teal Mask spoilers
It's kind of a shame, what happened to Kieran - he starts out so kind, but winds up becoming more and more resentful through the story. That said, other people have pointed out that he does have his own problems he needs to work through.
I still think it's unfortunate, though.
Hopefully he'll make friends with the player character again in the next part of the DLC.
As indicated by the above spoiler-tag, "The Teal Mask", the first part of the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC, was released on my birthday!
It takes place in the land of Kitakami (i.e. the "inverted valley" mentioned in this month's blog post title.)
Interestingly, it's been pointed out that due to this setting, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are the first Pokémon games in thirteen years to allow the player to travel to more than one region!
Sure, ultimately that isn't of much consequence, but I find it to be interesting.

Also, I randomly found a Shiny Wooper:

On the 17th, I re-started Pokémon Ultra Sun (after giving up last month) and now I'm a little bit over half-way through!
While playing, I was met with this Morelull:

| Apparently I've just been a Shiny Pokémon magnet this month! |
On the 20th, I went to Reading with Maia, where we had lunch at IKEA and ice cream at Creams (but, to be honest, I'm feeling too lazy right now to put up pictures.)
