Hello, everybody! On Thursday, a Nintendo Direct was presented, showing off plans for the Switch over the next few months; here are my highlights from the presentation!
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Apparently, Nintendo are nowhere near finished with their 'pretend-the-Wii-U-didn't-exist' stint and are still releasing Wii U games on the Switch.
This time, however, I'm not complaining. Whilst the latest instalment in the Donkey Kong Country series has been out for four years, I haven't actually played it. So I figure this is as good an opportunity as any to get it!
Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition
…not sure what they mean by 'definitive'. As far as I'm aware, the only new additions are costumes for Link and Zelda based on their appearances in Breath of the Wild, but once again, it's a Wii U game that I never actually played on the Wii U. So I plan to get this too!
Kirby Star Allies
Two new Copy Abilities have been shown off!
Artist Kirby can attack with a paintbrush or paint objects and characters which also attack enemies.
The Ability reminds me both of Paint Kirby's appearance in the Kirby anime and the bosses Ado, from Kirby's Dream Land 3, and Adeline, from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.
Spider Kirby can trap enemies and kick them away, quite like Ice Kirby.
In addition, a release date of 16/03/2018 has been announced
Super Mario Odyssey
Next month, DLC is being released for Mario Odyssey, which adds Luigi! He hosts a mode called Balloon World, where you can both hide balloons around the Kingdoms and look for those hidden by other players!
There will also be new outfits added (at least three.) There's the Sunshine Shades and Outfit, the Musician Hat and Outfit, and the Knight Helmet and Armour.
Anyway, those are my highlights from the Nintendo Direct Mini! Thanks for reading today's post, and I shall see you all again soon! Bye for now!
