January 2024: New Year, Old Me

My diary is finally computerised!
I don't get aches in my hand from writing so much any more, and my diary entries can be as long as I like…
…but now it takes me forever to actually write them.
C'est la vie, I suppose.

Did anything especially notable happen during the first week of the year?

The most notable thing was that we had a full Irish breakfast on the 7th.

Anyway, on the 10th, I had what I like to call a "Croque Madame with Two Hats™" for the first time in forever!
That isn't in the first week, by the way, so my insistence that nothing notable happened during the first week still stands.

On the 11th, Mum went off to spend the weekend back home in Ireland, while I played in epilogue to the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC, "Mochi Mayhem"!
It was about an hour long - which is by far the longest length of any event of its kind - and at the end of it I caught the newly-revealed Pokémon, Pecharunt.
The next day, there was an online event featuring a powerful Blaziken, which I caught as well (though I had to wait until Saturday to have enough free time to do so.)

The next notable event is from the 21st, when I finally managed to get my 3DS sent off for repairs again - this time, it's with CEX, and I've been told that they'll either repair my 3DS or send it back to me -- no replacements.
So far, I haven't received any updates, but hopefully I'll be updated soon.

On the 27th, I wound up having bread and butter as part of dinner, and I accidentally wound up tearing one of the slices into roughly the shape of Australia.
When you have nothing interesting to talk about, you can always
rely on Australia Bread™ to liven up your conversations!

And, as for today, I went to Reading with Maia!
I'm actually writing this yesterday, which means I'll be going to Reading tomorrow, because I'm not actually sure I'll be back for 6, so I figure it's better safe than sorry.
And so, for that reason, I have no pictures, because they're still in my future.
I hope I enjoyed it! And also that I didn't slip around too much in my shoes, because the soles of my shoes are so worn down that they don't provide traction in rain at all any more.

Anyway, that's all from me - and I'll see you back here, in twenty-nine days!
Hurray for leap years!
