January 2020: A new beginning

Good... afternoon! (Had to think for a moment there, but this goes up at 12, so it'll be afternoon.) This month was... how to put it... boring. But let's see what I can salvage anyway, shall we?

So, apart from generic college weekdays and Terraria weekends, there really isn't much that happened - most of what DID happen is Pokémon-related. But let's go over that anyway!

There was a Pokémon Direct on the 9th which announced DLC for Pokémon Sword & Shield! It's coming in two parts - The Isle of Armour in June and The Crown Tundra in autumn. I look forward to it!

Ten days later, on the 19th, it was another Pokémon Go Community Day, this time starring the very first starter Pokémon I chose, Piplup! I managed to catch and evolve a decent-CP Shiny Piplup, so I'm pleased with that outcome.

There are spoilers ahead for series 12 of Doctor Who (so far), so don't read further if you want to avoid them!

I've also been keeping up with Doctor Who, and it was quite a surprise to see the Master back so soon after Missy's arc in series 10, and an even greater surprise to learn that Ruth Clayton (whose existence we knew of back when they were filming the episode) is actually the Doctor!
Plus, it was good to see Captain Jack Harkness return after a ten-year hiatus.

I look forward to seeing how the plot will unfold, and how these characters will tie in to the story arc of the Timeless Child (which is starting to be expanded upon.)

But all that aside, that's all I have to say about this month. because politics are depressing
Hopefully February will be a little bit more exciting, but for now, I say goodbye!

Seriously though, Brexit is the worst decision this country has taken in decades.
The future is not made with isolationism. It is made with co-operation, and no amount of hatred and yearning for a time that never existed can change that fact.
