[19/02/17] Random Content: Bananas

Hello, everybody! Today, I talk about something that I have been asked already to talk about: members of the genus Musa. So let's begin!

As it always is, the source of everything here is Wikipedia.
I only had an hour to write this!
Bananas. First cultivated around 8,000 to 10,000 years ago and without a doubt, the weirdest-shaped berries on Earth. They range in colour - from green to yellow to red to purple to brown if they're ripe!

Wild bananas are native to southeast Asia and can have huge fruits packed full of seeds. As they do not have a wooden stem above the ground, they are, well… herbs.

Fruits with the common name of 'banana' aren't just restricted to the Musa genus, though; the snow banana and false/Ethiopian banana are both members of the genus Ensete - though that genus is still in Musaceae, the banana family.
And this is what I meant when I said 'packed with seeds'. There's tons of them!
Anyway, that seems to be all the information I can squeeze out of this for today. So I'll see everybody next week for more stuff! Bye for now!
