Happy Father's Day, everybody!
Hello, everybody! Today, I'll be reviewing a game that came out about a week ago. Let's get this review started!

Overview
Kirby: Planet Robobot was just released here in the UK, on June 10th. It runs on the engine of Kirby: Triple Deluxe, except that it has giant robots punching, slicing, shooting, burning, freezing, driving and flying! ...That way of describing it sounds weird, but trust me, it works out well.
For this, I award the following score to the game's story:
11/10
First, I did plan the concept of scores more than 10. And second, this game deserves it. Especially when you consider that it has the most developed plot of any Kirby game to date.
Gameplay
The gameplay is mostly identical to Kirby: Triple Deluxe, with a few deviations here and there. The biggest change is the Robobot Armour, which - like Kirby - can copy enemies' abilities. It can transform into 13 'Modes':
Beam, Bomb, Cutter, ESP, Fire, Ice, Jet, Mike, Parasol, Spark, Stone, Sword and Wheel all have Robobot Armour parallels.
Click here to see something, but again, beware of major spoilers!
Most of Kirby's own Copy Abilities are kept intact, but there are some differences: for example, Spark has two moves (Thunderbolt and Lightning Strike) from Kirby's Adventure Wii that weren't included in Kirby: Triple Deluxe. (Unfortunately, Fire Kirby still hasn't got the Spinning Fire Breath move back... I hope that happens soon! It's a good attack!)
Three new abilities were introduced: ESP, Doctor and Poison. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses:
ESP is good for long-range attacking, but leaves Kirby vulnerable whilst using most of its moves.
Doctor, with its Science Lab move, is good for varied kinds of attacks, but using the move leaves Kirby vulnerable.
Poison is quite powerful, but requires Kirby to get quite close where there's a risk of being hurt.
So, for this section, I give the following score:
10/10
I don't live to endlessly praise this game, but it is seriously this good.
Replay value
This game has amazing replay value, with two sub-games chock full of content and several other modes present.
Team Kirby Clash
This subgame focuses on fighting enemies from the Kirby series that didn't make it into Planet Robobot proper. You can level up (like in an RPG) and can then fight stronger enemies.
Kirby 3D Rumble
This subgame is about playing Kirby - on a 3D plane! Copy Abilites aren't present.
Story Mode
The main mode of the game, containing Kirby's adventure to free Pop Star from its exploitation.
I will give this section the score:
10/10
The replay value of this game is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.
SO... the scores for each section are as follows:
Story... 11/10
Gameplay... 10/10
Replay value... 10/10
The total score corresponds to the following rank:

I won't be handing out S* ranks (or S ranks, for that matter) that often, but I promise that Kirby: Planet Robobot wholly deserves one. If you're a Kirby fan, this game is unmissable. I'll see everyone... well, definitely on Sunday, but perhaps on other days as well! Bye for now!
