Week Overview & Random Content: Mon 28 Mar. to Fri 1 Apr. 2016

Hello there everybody! Since I forgot to post on Friday (sorry), I decided to merge the Week Overview and Random Content posts for this week! Well, let's start the double-length post!

Whole Week
I have been playing Pokémon, browsing the Internet, playing on the Wii U and generally just lounging around, Maia's been doing work experience at Frimley Park Hospital this week, Mum's been at work and Dad's been off work to look after me.

It's been a fun week for me, but since it's mainly been the same things each day, I don't have much to talk about this week. Despite that, there's still some things, so this post isn't a total waste. Yay!

Thursday
On Thursday, I went out with Dad to McDonald's for lunch - with them [McDonald's] doing the same Monopoly promotion they've done for what, five or six years in a row now? Anyway, I remembered something very important. The My Nintendo rewards scheme - and Miitomo, their first smartphone app - were brought out!! I had to get a look at it - it is amazing! Here's what I have found and figured out so far about it:

Platinum Points can be received by completing various missions - things from 'link your Facebook account' to 'sign in to Nintendo eShop (weekly)' (which as is suggested, can be received once a week.)

Gold Points can be received through buying apps and games on the eShop or online, or by redeeming download codes for said apps and games.

The two can be exchanged for different rewards, but there's no real set theme to which coins get which things. The rewards can be found here and the missions here.

And then there's Miitomo. Yes, there's more.

You start out by first (optionally) linking a Nintendo Account (used to sign in to My Nintendo) to Miitomo. After that, you make a Mii. You can either make one of yourself, scan a QR code of a Mii or get the Mii from the Nintendo Account, if you linked one.

After this, you choose the Mii's nickname and customise both their voice and personality. After all is done, your Mii walks into a room.

NOW, your Mii asks you a question: what is your favourite food?

The interface of the app is very similar to Tomodachi Life, a game on the 3DS. However, I feel it's different - in a good way. I like Miitomo, anyway!

While writing this, I saw it looks... really confusing. I can't really explain it without it being confusing, but I feel that it's quite simple when you actually do it.

And now welcome to Random Content! Let's get going quick!
