disease (noun)
"a disorder of structure or function in a human, animal, or plant, especially one that produces specific symptoms or that affects a specific location and is not simply a direct result of physical injury." (from Google)
Week 39 (26 Sep - 02 Oct)
Nothing much to report; I continued with my job as normal, playing Terraria in my free time as I said last month that I'd been doing earlier in the week.Week 40 (03 - 09 Oct)
...so.As I'm sure can be expertly inferred from the little witticism in the post title…
…this was not, by any definition, a good week. At any rate, Monday was a normal day, at least. I worked as usual, then went home, ready to enjoy my three days off.
…yeah, three.
Tuesday and Wednesday were spent sniffling with what we thought were just rather bad colds, but on Thursday…
We all wound up taking COVID tests at various points of the day, starting with Maia, since her job requires her to do them twice-weekly.
By the end of the day, everyone bar Dad had a positive response to the test.
I'm still, at the time of writing this (early Saturday morning), infected and in utter (furious!) disbelief.
How is it that, after two and a half years spent avoiding the pandemic - including last Christmas when EVERYBODY got COVID (thanks to the government putting ideology over peoples' lives) - I get it now?!
So, in short, my three days at home turned into AT LEAST eight spent suffering from THE disease that has defined the last three-or-so years.

...and now, hello from the end of the month -- specifically, yesterday.
(I mean, it's today to me, but it's yesterday to you.)
I still haven't gotten over the fact that I got COVID.
Week 41 (10 - 16 Oct)
Well, on Thursday, I finally tested negative for COVID.
That said, I decided to stay home until Monday to complete 14 days of "self"-isolation, just to be on the safe side.
Also, on Saturday, the third-to-last episode of a cartoon I've been following, called The Owl House, aired!
You can watch it on YouTube -- but only if you're in the UK, the US or Australia... or India, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia and sub-Saharan Africa.
Week 42 (17 - 23 Oct)
Let's just say Sunday was a wet day...
...by which I mean that I was caught in a cloud burst after I left work to walk home.
Without an umbrella or a coat.
I have never been so sopping wet in my entire life.
And no, the beautiful sunset afterwards did not make up for it.
Week 43 (24 - 30 Oct)
Well, Maia had previously made a new town on the Wii game, Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City, which was released 14 years ago(!)
So, on Tuesday, I made my own character in the town of Azalea!
Week 44 (31 Oct - 06 Nov)
Happy ghost day, I guess?
Not really much to say about today except that.
also, looks like we're abandoning Let's Go to the City in favour of New Leaf
So, all that aside, next post is next month -- and I'll have my brand-new Pokémon game, too boot!
Bye for now!
