HELLO THERE
I know I forgot August, so I'm doing it now!
We did... not much at all in August! (Or at the very least, I did hardly anything.)
But here's what we did do!
Me & Maia went on a sibling day out to Guildford on Tuesday the 4th, and we hoped to take advantage of the half-price food scheme the government had announced just before then.
By the way, that was an astoundingly selfish thing for them to do. All they cared about was fattening up their bank accounts even more by 'restarting' (note the apostrophes) the economy, without caring if anybody got COVID-19. I'm disappointed, but not in the least surprised.
And they were, predictably enough, all shut because we hadn't given them enough time to implement anything. So we eventually settled for a takeout from Kokoro:Except that since we couldn't eat it there, we had to find somewhere to sit -- and the only place that wasn't occupied that we could find was a bench by the riverbank.
So, all in all, our day out was bad, and I wouldn't recommend doing anything like it again until COVID-19 is gone forever.
And I don't think that's going to be any time remotely soon.
I sometimes wonder if I'll live to see it. But that's a Brexit-related problem, not a COVID-related problem.
Anyway, according to my calendar, nothing else happened in August.
I do know I went to collect my BTEC results, for which I got MMM (a decent middle grade), but I can't remember exactly when during the month that was, so good for me.
Also (this wasn't on my calendar either) me & Mum went out for a lunch at Morrisons at the end of August so we could get it for half price.
What I said earlier about the scheme being run for selfish Tory purposes still stands.
look at me, I'm using another text colour to signify autumn
so incredibly smart
So, in September, also not a lot happened! My 19th birthday was the 13th (not that it ever changes what date it's on or anything) so we went out to McDonald's for breakfast and TGI Friday's for dinner, because that's just what we do and it hasn't changed in years.
I also found out that Pokémon HOME does not allow Pokémon to evolve by trading, which is extremely annoying (and lazy.) But I managed to borrow Maia's Switch later on, so everything's fine.
And thus - apart from Monday the 28th, where I had to drag myself out of bed at 7.30 am for a diabetic eye screening sixteen months after my last one (though that's attributable to COVID stresses) - nothing much else happened in September either.
The NHS delays are also attributable to a TOTAL LACK OF NHS FUNDING because the Tories want it dead so they can pocket the money that would have been used to budget it.
So then, that's all I have to say for today! Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to grow pumpkins in Animal Crossing, because it was just updated today. Bye!
