Welcome!
(I've completely run out of things to say!)
We're now in pointless time! (remember my rant about it from October?)
So, let's begin in this month!
...like three other posts already, this one begins on the last day of last month, because that's the problem with uploading at midday!
Maia happened.
...as in, she came home.
The next day (the Friday), we took the train to Reading, where we had lunch at IKEA and went shopping afterwards! Also, I got a bad headache, because...
"The common cold. Humanity's best friend."
-nobody in the world, ever
...anyway, Maia then went back at 5pm on Sunday.
And then the headaches started to become more sporadic, less painful... the cold was finally ending!
AND THEN ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON (the 7th) I GOT A SORE THROAT.
...so yeah, that was not a particularly enjoyable time. But it doesn't end there!
BECAUSE ON TUESDAY (the 12th) I REALISED IT WAS TONSILLITIS.
AND THEN THAT TONSILLITIS TURNED INTO... mild laryngitis.
No, not the worst outcome by a long margin, but still irritating.
Also a few days after that ended I STARTED BEING ATTACKED BY POLLEN.
...so, it's a good thing we discovered antihistamines.
ALSO there's the issue of me being dropped off by the bus at the wrong stop, which ended up adding FIFTY MINUTES to my commute home.
You see, on Mondays and Tuesdays, I finish college at 5 pm. So what I did before Monday (just gone, i.e. the 25th) is I left about 15 minutes early (always with the teacher's permission, of course) to get a bus that would drop me off about 3 minutes from home.
However, that bus stop is actually unmarked; thus, it was up to the drivers to decide where to stop. Also, the next stop along is RIDICULOUSLY far away from home; Google Maps says it'd take AN HOUR AND A HALF to walk home from there.
...You can see where I'm going with this.
On MONDAY, the driver did NOT stop at the correct stop, so I was eventually let off at the other stop (the 90-minute-away one.) In a surprising move (for me, at least) I actually confronted the bus driver over the issue.
First, he refused to give his name (fine in some circumstances, but NOT just to avoid punishment!)
Then he actually tried to pin the blame on ME. Apparently I'm supposed to call to the bus driver to stop the bus.
The bus that literally has a sign telling you NOT to do that. (And yes, the vehicle was in motion the whole time.)
I did everything I was supposed to, the driver screws up, then he tries to blame me? The only conclusion I can draw from that is that he's a complete arsehole.
But it doesn't matter anyway, because we still made a complaint the next fay... well, by 'we' I mean 'Mum' because I was sick of the confrontation... and the stress headache that Monday gave me.
And then Wednesday happened. 😒
I went to a CPR training session (read: was forced to go, though it turned out positive in the end anyway.) Interestingly, since the last time I learnt it (which, to be fair, is about three years ago now), the consensus on teaching has moved away from rescue breaths (they specifically teach 'hands-only CPR'.)
We also got a look at defibrillators and how to use them (though it's not really a concern if we forget, considering they all provide instructions as they're being used.)
And then I got home, and everything was fine.
Until about 10.30 pm.
Seven short power cuts. Two in quick succession, then FOUR in quick succession, then one last cut about five minutes after that. They were caused by the dishwasher, because its plug... well, it wasn't exactly this, but it looked like this:
...except worse.
Also, my extension lead broke, and the only other one in the house happened to have one less socket than the number of things I was trying to plug in.
So, in conclusion... ugh. Just ugh. This month has been ugh.
Though, Yoshi's Crafted World was released on Friday, so I've been playing that all (long) weekend, except for yesterday, the late morning of which was spent of Pokemon GO for the Lotad Research Day,which saw shiny Lotad and shiny Castform released!
So, that ends my recounting of this month. At the moment, i'm probably playing either Yoshi's Crafted World (if I haven't completed it) or Zelda: Breath of the Wild (if I have completed Yoshi's Crafted World.)
Next time... well, it's rather obvious, isn't it?
Next time, April - so see you then!
