Hello, everybody! It's now exactly a fortnight until Christmas Day, so what better way to note that than to do an entire blog post on it?
So. Christmas Day is in exactly 14 days (or 1,166,400 seconds as of the exact second this post was uploaded!)
Right now, I suspect that a lot of people are running around like headless chickens - it's a very typical thing to forget to go Christmas shopping until the last minute!
There are a few plants associated with Christmas time, like...
Holly (Ilex aquifolium)
Holly has been associated with Christmas for at least 500 years. Just, uh... don't eat it.
Mistletoe (Viscum album)
Mistletoe has been associated with Christmas for about 1700 years, ever since it became widespread in Europe. And, again, please don't eat it!
I'd also planned to put ivy here, but Wikipedia didn't give any info and I've been hard-pressed for time, so... this is the end, unfortunately. See you next week, though!
