Week Overview: Mon 16 May 2016 to Fri 20 May 2016

Hello there, everybody and welcome to the penultimate Week Overview.
This week... this week has been horrendous. I might as well get it over with...

Whole Week
This week, I have been doing:
  • Africa (Mon) and Asia (Thu) in Geography
  • More Shakespeare in English (well, apart from Wednesday)
  • Nothing (Wed) and throwing events (Fri) in PE
  • Dog drawing in Art (pencils on Monday, carbon paper on Tuesday)
  • Separating mixtures in Science
Monday
On Monday, I was told that apparently, we'll have to do 'Minecraft lessons' in the future. I do not like Minecraft... so naturally, I'm annoyed at that. Besides that, how could a videogame fit into lessons anyway? I don't understand...

Tuesday
On Tuesday, I was forced to go swimming, As in, not just forced to come, forced to swim. But if I thought that was bad, the worst was DEFINITELY yet to come.

Wednesday
On Wednesday, it was raining. And not just raining, it was pelting it down. Half a month's worth of rain, they said. I could well believe it!

Thursday
On Thursday, I had to go to my mum's work. I also had to wait there until 5pm. Nope, not fun. Though I did decide with Maia that she'd sit in with me next Thursday...

Friday
And then there's today. Good God, there's TODAY. I might as well get the positives out of the way first:
  • There was fish today.
  • I got voted to the school council as the representative of my form.
And now for the bad things.
  • One teacher berated me for talking about the end of the world (because one of the boys in my form is scared of that.) That would be fair enough, except for the fact that what I said was that the world won't end for another seven billion years! I suppose that trying to support someone is now the WRONG thing to do. It's not like I meant to be nasty at all - the the teacher knows it's not like me.
  • Another teacher berated me for talking about spiders (because another boy is scared of them.) And that too would be fair enough, if I mentioned it MORE THAN ONCE in a way that wasn't trying to be supportive. Any other time I mentioned the word 'arachnid' was because I was confused about the classification of crabs (I have learned since it is arthropod, which also happens to start with the two letters 'ar'.)
Another point - my family know that I am far more bad-tempered than I let on here - that's because one of the founding principles of this blog was to be positive. But in all seriousness, this has gone one step too far.

But all I want this to show is today from my perspective. If this seems offensive, then I am sorry. Today has just put me in a bad mood and I needed to let off steam somehow.
...I was originally going to name the teachers. But, for the sake of being mature about this, I have decided not to. In an analogy, it's like water has been put into a kettle and it's boiled. And writing this blog post is like opening the top of the kettle and letting out the steam - which gives the rest of the water the opportunity to cool down.

That is the end of this bad-mooded blog post. Here is the quote for today:
"Every action has an equal and opposite reaction."
-Newton's third law, but it can apply to people's moods as well.
Anyway, the weekend will give me an opportunity to be in a good mood again - plus, for the final Current Stories, there's quite the news about Mars to comment on! I will see you all on Sunday - bye for now, and have a good weekend!
