Although Friday's post was the 50th, I wanted to put more about it in today's. I just want to say thank you to everybody who has visited my blog. I've been supported enough to reach 50 posts - my first milestone! Honestly, thank you!
The periodic table
On Monday it was the 182nd birthday of Dmitri Mendeleev, creator of the original periodic table. Back then in 1869, the table had a few gaps in it as some elements now known weren't known back then - so they were instead predicted. The predicted elements were eka-aluminium (gallium), ekasilicon (germanium), ekamanganese (technetium) and ekaboron (scandium). It's really quite amazing that the elements were predicted with the accuracy that they were predicted with!
