Week Overview: Mon 14/12/15 to Fri 18/12/15

One week - 7 days - left until Christmas!! Have you done all of your shopping?
Hello everybody! We are nearing that time of the year I love so much... Christmas!! And it's even been Christmas Activity Week this week! (And please don't worry about the ridiculous use of colours in this post, as I have now found a proper scheme to using colour highlighting.) So let's get straight into the fun, shall we?

Whole Week
I have not been doing the online lessons this week in order to do activities. However, we did do Christmas Maths on Tuesday.

Monday
Monday was the trip out for all pupils who had achieved PE Pupil of the Week over the course of this half-term. We went swimming in the morning and went to TGI Friday's for lunch. (Not the one in London I went to a month ago, a different one. However, I do not disclose my exact location and it's quite local, so...) I will say that it took forever to actually get lunch - we had to wait for ages to even order our food... not the best experience I've ever had, but the food was good, so I am ready to forgive.

Tuesday
On Tuesday, we had a quiz hosted by none other than Michelle! It spanned five categories - Food, Science, Name 5, Christmas and Music - and had a maximum score of 90+1 points. In addition, we had a Talent Show which was dominated mostly by music - though I did a play with Sammy and Marta. Here's a link to the script on Google Docs. So Tuesday was a good day as well.

Wednesday
But Wednesday wasn't really good. Though I had fish for lunch and I went shopping, I came down with a cold. It gave me a sore throat, fever and lethargy. Well, I did buy parts of the family's Christmas presents, so it wasn't all that bad.

Thursday
On Thursday, I still had my cold, but it was also the Last Day of Term! So parents came, we had a Christmas lunch and sat down for a presentation. In this presentation, the following was revealed:

  • I was top of points, with 1,230 of them... that gave me £40 in Amazon vouchers
  • I won a 'Maths Raffle' - that gave me £15 in Amazon vouchers.

We were also each given a DVD with videos taken throughout the term - Mr. Persaud was the one who shot all the videos and even made the DVDs! So with a DVD and £55 in Amazon vouchers, Thursday was amazing!

Friday
And now for today. Me and my dad went out for breakfast at McDonald's (and got some for my mum, too.) It was the first time I've been there in oh, two months or so? Plus, I had the world's longest conversation with Maia. I've also updated the About Me - Lucas page! Also, I have now disabled the mobile template so that all the gadgets and stuff from the desktop version can be seen on phones.

And after my lengthy paragraphs, we can now breathe. And we can also check out the message from my mind:
"If you aren't good at something or you don't like it, there is nothing stopping you from not doing it. (Except school or work.) Don't let other people tell you how to live your life... you are yourself!"
So, with that lengthy message under our wings, let us all march on, onto Sunday and Current Stories!
(I decided to rename Current Issues because it seems too negative.) See you then!
