Current Issues - 29 November 2015

26 days until Christmas!
We haven't seen this part of the blog for ages now, so I think it is time for us to begin Current Issues, and with it, the new schedule!

Lifi
So it seems wifi now has a competitor itself - not long after it ousted dial-up internet, as well. Apparently, lifi - a means of delivering data using visible light - can be up to a hundred times faster than wifi. However, this doesn't mean that wifi will be gotten rid of. Since it uses visible light, sunlight... (you can see where I'm going with this.) And visible light can't go through walls either - which is the only way even trace amounts of internet signal get through to my bedroom-I mean, wifi black hole, it's not infinitely viable. It could be useful in some places, though.

Missions on Mars
And it also seems that we - Europe - will finally be exploring Mars too. Missions have been given the go-ahead, so first up is the study of Mar's atmosphere to determine its contents. The spacecraft carrying the lander will be ready to launch on the 14th of March and the lander should arrive on mars in mid-October.

Anyway, we now reach the message from my mind.
"Life is what you make it to be. Those with an optimistic point of view find happiness easier."
Well, I'll see you on Friday for another Week Overview! Until then, take care!
